Alamance County Area NC Chapter of The Bereaved Parents of the USA is a self-help support organization. All of our members are parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts or uncles, who are grieving the death of a child. We are dedicated to assisting grieving families toward the positive resolution of grief and providing information and education to help others be supportive. We are a non profit 501 (c)(3) organization.

We gather to listen, to care, and to understand the process of grieving, as we heal and start our recovery. Our greatest strength as bereaved families is the unity we find in shared experiences. This unity leads us out of isolation, gives us a place to “belong” and gives us hope that together we can make it. We offer hope to newly bereaved families so that they too can make it.

We are non-denominational, there is no religious creed involved. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month. No membership fees or dues are charged, and all bereaved family members are welcome. We are not associated with any religious, governmental, or political group. We do not take positions on issues. Our sole focus is on helping grieving families.
